Dr. Eric Shelton
Dr. Eric W. Shelton is a proud graduate of the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society. He is also an active member of the American Dental Association, the Iowa Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
For over 23 years, Dr. Shelton has been honored to serve the Decorah community, providing exceptional dental care in a warm and welcoming environment for patients of all ages. He is deeply committed to building strong, lasting relationships and strives to make every visit as stress-free and positive as possible, always upholding the highest standard of treatment. Dr. Shelton treats each patient as if they were a member of his own family, with a focus on personalized care and attention to detail. From routine check-ups to advanced procedures, Dr. Shelton is passionate about helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles.
Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife of 30 years, their four children, and five grandchildren. He stays active through exercise, biking, and golfing, and also enjoys fishing and exploring local microbreweries. One of his favorite ways to relax is spending time at the family cabin with family & friends.
Dr. Amber McCarville
Dr. Amber McCarville earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2014. Prior to that, she completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology at the same University. During her dental education, she received numerous honors including Superior Achievement in Dental Histology, Excellence in Dental Prosthodontics, and was recognized consistently on the Dean’s Academic Recognition List. Her academic excellence earned her induction into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Honorary Dental Society, and she was valedictorian of her dental class, earning membership in the Alpha Omega International Dental Society. Dr. McCarville is actively involved in professional dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Iowa Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Known for her compassionate approach, Dr. McCarville is dedicated to creating a comfortable and reassuring environment for her patients. She values building lifelong patient relationships through personalized and high-quality care. Her clinical expertise spans a wide array of modern dental services, notably Invisalign treatments and CEREC same-day crowns.
Outside of the dental practice, Dr. McCarville enjoys running, spending time outdoors, and quality time with her family. She and her husband, Kyle, are proud parents of two daughters, Bria and Bryn.
